ROBERT J. BUCARO
I have had the privilege of working with the biggest contributors in audio recording and network news and entertainment broadcasting. In my own right, I have enjoyed positions of significant prominence for my vision, motivational leadership, and forward-thinking contributions. It has also always been my practice to collaborate and strategize with select, broad-gauged individuals to arrive at the most tactical and profitable solutions for the work. It gives me a real sense of pride today to look back on a legacy of important successes and fruitful business relationships.
My relevance and success comes from a thorough understanding of today’s ever-innovating broadcast and computer technology. The network industry is fast paced, interactive and dynamic. Leaders in this profession deliver imaginative ideas that work, while keeping abreast of IT bandwidth, streaming, VMs, and a range of privacy, data protection and data security concerns.
My depth of experience comes from the highest level of broadcast engineering, which equips me for other roles in dynamic organizations that are wrestling with the rapidly cascading landscape of advances in information and technology. My success is measured by know-how and a precise understanding of industry needs. Staying above the curve requires me to innovate and "look outside the box," and study what other companies are doing (or lacking). Contact me to discuss your next project and what will set it apart.
I am a Senior Broadcast Engineer with NBC Universal Media, working in New York’s Rockefeller Plaza. Several of my engineering projects in the U.S. and abroad were recognized by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for excellence in studio build and technical team collaboration. I engineer and implement SD/HD systems and computer server automation networks in close collaboration with top, leading manufacturers such as Grass Valley, Evertz, Snell and Omneon, integrating the latest technologies, such as Coax, Fiber, Satellite, and Ethernet that connect them together. My reputation for imaginative and profitable deliverables within strict time and budgetary constraints comes from a genuine love for making things work, and being completely experienced in today’s leading-edge technology and design implementation.
I have been a musician since I was 10 years old. I created my own music entertainment company in the 1980s and was picked up by the renowned Power Station Recording Studio NYC to come and work as an audio technician/engineer. I met and worked with legendary artists in the music industry and continue playing, recording and writing music today in my spare time. Ever since was I was a pre-teen I gravitated my interests in electronics and technology and just couldn't get enough of it. In 1984 I coded my first BBS with over 2,000 member worldwide hosting a server that I built with multiple analog phone connections pre-internet. I love traveling to places and meeting people from very remote places less traveled. I enjoy the challenge of figuring out and solving complex problems under pressure. I love being apart of something big and the role I can play in it to make a difference. I also discovered the world of "AI" music. I've been able to publish some of my songs for worldwide streaming distribution on over 150+ platforms under the Artist name: BobJersey. You can find my music on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music and Pandora to mention a few.
Throughout my decades of experience, I have built a strong foundation in broadcast engineering, having worked in a variety of roles, ranging from maintaining broadcast infrastructure to managing technical operations for major networks. I possess comprehensive knowledge of systems, equipment, and software, including but not limited to camera systems, audio consoles, routing, control room operations, and transmission infrastructure.
In my most recent role at NBC Universal Media, I successfully led the implementation of an advanced HD broadcast facility, overseeing multiple levels of a project then maintaining it while it’s in use. I collaborated with cross-functional teams, including producers, directors, and technicians, to ensure broadcasting operations and maintain compliance with industry standards. I also identified and implemented cost-effective solutions that improved workflow efficiency while reducing operating expenses.
I pride myself on staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry, as evidenced by my proactive approach to continuing education and certifications. I am well-versed in latest advancements in broadcast technology, IP networking, and file-based workflows, and I possess the ability to adapt quickly to evolving technological landscapes. I’m opened to doing whatever it takes to achieve a successful goal, so learning a new technology or studying a new process only adds to my overall knowledge base and I always welcome it.
Apart from my technical expertise, I am a collaborative team with excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. I thrive in fast-paced environments and adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously, consistently meeting deadlines while delivering high-quality results.
I am excited about the opportunity to possibly join your team and contribute to its growth and success in the broadcast. I believe my demonstrated track record, technical acumen, and passion for broadcast engineering make me ideal candidate for this position.
